Whether you’re a local, you’re in town for a visit, or you’re a superstar in need of some pizza pie flown to your concert in Fargo, North Dakota, we’ve got you covered for local pizza delicacies.
Now we know what you’re thinking and you are correct. The Ugly Duck is in the same building that once housed umm… Club Bacchus. While you might still see the occasional nip slip here, or even a lapdance near the dart boards, this place is a great stop for pizza.
I strongly recommend their ham topping. They use BIG chunks of ham shredded off the bone, not the generic sliced ham that most other places use. It won’t hurt your wallet either. Solid prices on their food and their booze. 330-262-5654
Gionino’s opened up shop downtown a few years back. They have multiple locations around NE Ohio, but Wooster is the home of the only dine-in establishment of them all. Whether it’s pizza, subs, or fried chicken, this place has you covered and you will not be disappointed. They have the best jojos in the galaxy. Yes, THE GALAXY! Mars doesn’t have anything on these bad boys. 330-262-0093
What? Another bar on the list? Yes. Not just any bar… Leroy’s. It’s been a local hangout for years. They are open for both lunch and dinner. Solid bar food at a very reasonable price. You’re not looking at this list for bar food though, you’re looking for pizza. Leroy’s has some damn good pizza. The crust is nice and buttery, and the cheese is super stringy. They don’t shy away from the toppings either. You can enjoy your food and drinks on the back patio as well. Leroy’s is a great place to take a group of friends and get rowdy. 330-264-9913
You might be asking yourself “What? Who? Never heard of this place.” Well you better back that caboose into this gem of a pizza and ice cream parlor. It’s located just outside of Wooster in the Triway district. The pizzas are massive and loaded with cheese! This pizza tastes great reheated in the toaster oven as well. I highly recommend their BBQ pizza with the grilled chicken. It’s amazing. The staff is very friendly as well. Do yourself a favor and make The Cottage at Lionsgate a regular stop for your pizza cravings. 330-347-8773
So here we are. The best pizza joint in Wooster. This place is fantastic. From the crust to the toppings, this place is all about top notch ingredients. Our go-to pizza on the menu is the Margarita pizza with added bacon. The bacon is thick and crispy, unlike most other pizza joints. The pizza starts with a nice olive oil base and is covered with juicy tomatoes, basil, and bacon. Our other favorite here is the Pit Master. Covered in your choice of pork or chicken, sweet red onions, and a tangy BBQ sauce, this one never disappoints. If you haven’t eaten at Bosco’s, you need to make it a priority. 330-345-4400
